Who am I?

Hi! Thanks for passing by. Please allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Alejandro M. Gómez-San-Juan. I am an associate professor at University of Vigo and researcher with 12+ years of experience in aerospace engineering obtained in more than 20 space projects. Currently, I am member of the ATRG research group, attached to atlanTTic research center from Vigo University.

My original background is in thermal and structural engineering, with a focus on integrated thermo-elastic and STOP analysis.

However, the backbone of my work now is uncertainty calculation. Applied to any of those areas helps to streamline design, reducing development and testing costs.

Here is a brief description of some of the latest projects we are involved in at the thermo-mechanical section of the ATRG research group. If you feel curious about any, please let me know.

Active Space Missions

On top of our ongoing projects these are the international space missions in which I have personally participated as thermal, structural or thermo-elastics engineer, which are actually flying and doing beautiful science.
