Structural Engineering
More than 13 years of experience performing space structures modeling, testing and analysis. I have participated in several projects, mainly international space missions and research projects, such as ESA's ExoMars TGO and Solar Orbiter or European Comission FETOpen WiPTherm. Currently we are working in some very interesting research projects with ESA.
The images you can see below are from some of the very interesting projects our research group, ATRG, has been working on.
Core skills
Structural analysis, design and testing related activities in all mission phases according to ECSS.

Structural Analysis
Finite Element Model building both as subsystem and as system integrator. Structural analyses including static, dynamic (sine, random), fatigue for electronic components (Steinberg), shock and thermo-elastic deformation analyses. Derivation of mechanical loads for subsystems.
Structural Testing
Preparation and design of dynamic vibration tests, assistance to the execution of tests, FEM correlation and all associated documentation activities (procedures and reports).
We use our uncertainty calculation methodology to focus on the essential mechanical drivers and save time and costs when designing the test campaign.
Project Reviews
As analyst, preparation of documentation, models and attendance to ESA design reviews. As part of Project Office, revision of documentation in internal design reviews. All in the framework of ESA activities. Extensive experience in the use of ECSS.
Formation
Taylored courses in space structures using the space industry's preferred software tool, NASTRAN. We follow a balanced approach: practical and time efficient but with academic rigour.
